Spring is here – and I’ve been spending the bulk of my time in the garden. It’s coming up on 2 years since I began to turn a big patch of boring old grass into a food forest and it’s really starting to take the kind of shape I was hoping for. Yesterday, my partner Nick and I opened a recording session we had been working on a few months ago for our duo Little Clouds. It turns out in the same session we left the mics running and recorded 25 minutes of us improvising together, using my song ‘Silly Season’ as a starting point. I thought it was the perfect thing for a special edition Slow Stream – and what better to accompany it than images of my garden? So I took my camera outside and shot some choice first days of spring moments. I hope you enjoy it…
And I’ve been thinking of putting on some nice garden concerts – plenty of space for social distancing and gee what a lovely view. People could bring a deck chair and snacks… I think because of the limitation of 20 visitors I will be making this available to my patrons on Patreon first – so the folk nearby in Sydney will be able to look forward to that!
